Every NewsPulse reporter is identity-verified before their first story is published.

Verification steps

1. Online application with personal and professional details.
2. Upload of government ID, address proof and a recent photograph.
3. Document check by our verification team (3–5 working days).
4. A short interview with the district editor.
5. Issue of a unique Reporter ID and district assignment.

Ongoing standards

Reporters are reviewed periodically. Accounts may be suspended for fabricated reporting, plagiarism or misuse of press credentials. Readers can verify a reporter by checking their public profile and Reporter ID.
